SEARCHING FOR HAPPINESS WITH Style by V

Everyone chases after happiness, not noticing that happiness is right at their heels.

You wish to be happy, you do everything to be happy and you think that tomorrow it will be time for happiness. Is it a state of mind or just a lifestyle to be happy when chasing shadows of the future with a loneliness and disappointment at the end? Are you ready to pay for the goods you’ve never seen, spending years and years for the reality that exists only in your mind? Isn’t it easier to be here and now enjoying lifetime on the Earth?

Most of young people keep looking for the happiness all over the world and take trips overseas in search of something what they have at home. Something, that is waiting for them to become wise enough to forget their ambitions and to be able to accept it “as is” without an attempt to modify its essence. People often mix gifts with things received for granted, thereby missing their chance they are blessed with. They need time and huge life experience to distinguish real happiness between a number of fakes.

Once my friend told me prophetic words for me, and I still keep them in my mind: “Either you were into him, and he wasn't, or he was into you but you weren't at the time.” In most cases all of us  need time, because it’s much more difficult to keep the fire in the fireplace than to make it. And if someone did happen to find what he was looking for, he should cherish those feelings keeping vital energy whatever.

I wouldn’t write this note, but I would like to share my own experience of nearly missing my happiness. I didn’t notice that it was always at my heels, even when I was wearing flats…

FLIRTING WITH THE PRESENT THROUGH STYLE BY V

Many of us crucify ourselves between two thieves - regret for the past and fear of the future. Fulton Oursler

While moving from the past to the future, we simply miss the most important point of intersection: the present. Working and running like crazy, we spend a lot of time and energy for the things that passed and for those, that haven’t come yet. These two dimensions totally absorb our nature leaving no space for the reality. Isn’t it better to enjoy the vibrant present that we can touch and feel? We never know if tomorrow will come and the past is never to be returned. So, why do we get back to these two thieves of our time and energy? Let bygones be bygones and simply enjoy the vibrant life with its awesome and unforgettable moments… Recently I came across a quote by Quevedo,  satirist and poet of Spain's Golden Age (1580-1645): “He, who spends time regretting the past, loses the present and risks the future”… I bet no one can dispute this so true saying. We move straight to the future without going its roots: the present time. We can easily change our future by restyling and giving a new makeover to our present. It’s amazing to watch how future can grow with a little inspiration in real life.

There is a group of people who keep complaining about life by doing nothing to improve it and make it of better quality. We all know that future starts with the past and the present. We are also aware that we can’t modify things in the past, but we have opportunities to shape the present in order to change the future. People can be easily divided into two groups: those who search for life drawbacks and those who seek for advantages and benefits, building their happiness and going fresh ways…

I believe we should splash our present with lasting color of our energy and add new shades to get a winning look. Enjoying and admiring present moments is the most powerful accessory of the present life. Isn’t it amazing and fabulous to stop for a while and think how charming life is? This new approach inspires to living the most stylish, successful and fascinating life ever…

PERFECT PICTURES GIVING MIXED SIGNALS

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.
Unknown

TV shows, fashion magazines, newspapers, and the Internet dazzle with perfect and gorgeous pictures of luxury life, but we don’t know, and many don’t care, about the reality behind the scenes.  We enjoy the glamorous images without going backstage.  If you have made up your mind to step on the fashion runway, you have to move forward gracefully and look ahead with confidence while managing an abusive and decadent reality. On the dance floor, you move with a bewitching smile on your face and grace the audience would die for. Being confident enough and too proud to expose your weakness, you show unruffled composure instead, giving mixed signals to your surroundings. It makes them treat you as a powerful and strong personality. Once I heard a wise saying from a passerby met by chance (I’m sure that was a blessing given to me to learn from): “You’ve got your security, if you are smart.”  If you have confidence and are smart enough not to expose your fear and weakness, you avoid getting washed away by a huge wave of jealousy.

I recently came across a quote by Robbert Oustin: “Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get”.  And I want to add more: “The longer you stay, the more wrinkled your soul becomes”. Our body is an exact copy and reflection of our inner being.

Your picture or your personality may give different signals to people, but you have to step up to take the challenge of always being above. It’s a long road which has no way back and everyone picks up his/her own path… My choice is a breathtaking, captivating, passionate and irreproachable dance without deception, jealousy and with a clear conscience.

THE POWER OF VISUALIZATION THROUGH STYLE BY V.

Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. Epicurus

It was 1991… I was on board of the airplane taking flight from island Cuba to Kyiv, Ukraine. That was my first transatlantic flight ever taken. Spending two months in Cuba, I discovered a new world for myself that was similar to the moon flight. What could a simple girl see, being born in the Soviet Union and living behind the “Iron Curtain”? She could see totally nothing except for her own country. That was the year when the Soviet Union collapsed and a new and serious step in the history of Ukraine was taken. But it’s not about the country history and its politics. It’s about my feelings that I experienced at the moment of opening a glossy magazine with a colorful article about San Fran. It was describing the city life with its green streets, night lights, gorgeous and delightful houses and buildings, famous all over the world cable cars, unbelievably luxurious and never-seen-before shops and independent people living their best life. My emotions were running me so much that I got speechless. The only thought that crossed my mind at that very moment was: “How happy the people should be living there. I want to be among them”.

19 years later… I was sitting at the window of my friend’s house, watching the perfect view of night San Fran that was reflecting its beauty in the Bay. Yes, I was in San Francisco… At that very moment I remembered the dream of that little girl who perhaps was so impressed by that charming city and those bewitching words from the article, that in 19 years she happened to be here. Many years ago she left her heart in San Francisco waiting for the time of meeting. It was the power of visualization of that little and naive girl, who had inexhaustible trust in her dream and its might. Being grown up and mature, we don’t know what wonders we can achieve always leaving a drop of hope. We forget about our inner energy and belief in miracles, and it makes us weaker even though we think we are getting stronger by putting on some fancy dresses for a next masquerade. Every so often we are afraid of changes and new possibilities, leaving our dreams beyond belief and behind the scenes of our consciousness. What I know for sure is that we should pamper ourselves, living our life beautifully, feeling true colors of its beauty and leaving some space for our child-like dreams. Let your mind play some games with you and stay up-to-date to new life prospects.

P.S. I still keep that flight magazine as a reminder of human inner strength and power in time of loss.
